Networking for a Greener Africa

PELUM Association improves the livelihoods of small-scale farmers and the sustainability of farming communities, by fostering ecological land use management. And we’ve being doing so for 15 years now. We are a network of over 200 civil society organisations in eastern, central and southern Africa. Through networking, research and lobbying, we are building the capacity of small-scale farmers.

Training: Organic Conservation Farming


In March 2010, we held a workshop on organic conservation farming techniques. In just six days, 32 people learnt everything they need to do to farm year-round, and how to train others to do the same. The emphasis was on learning by doing. We have made a photo diary of this workshop.
