PELUM maintains, at the
regional secretariat, a well-stocked and fully operative resource centre and
up-to-date database accessible physically and (for some materials) through
this PELUM website. The bulk of materials are training oriented, aimed at
supporting capacity building among member and like-minded organisations in
the region.
The resource centre
comprises two main sections; one focusing on PELUM generated and specific
materials, whereas the other part of the collection comprises a variety of
materials covering various disciplines relevant to pelum.
PELUM has set up a modern, larger resource centre that will act as a centre of excellence for
research. It has thus also taken the general public on board.
We collect and distribute
books, slides, photographs, magazines and other need based materials to the
membership. PELUM also runs a books
for sale initiative through which we sell a variety of publications,
including the Ground Up magazine.

available for sale.

Through the resource
centre, member organisations take advantage of the broader eye of the
regional desk to request for materials that may be available from other
sources. This is done through linking up with other like-minded networks,
organisations, book sellers, individuals and on-line databases.
