We have embarked on a 13 series radio programme aimed at educating farmers about their role in budget tracking.

The programmes are set to start on Wednesday 20 July 2011.
The series has been made in such a way that every week the farmers will learn something new every week.

The issues focused on will be:

•  introducing the community to the issus of the budgeting process
•  provide a general outlook on the budget in relation to agricultures role in the economy
•  highlighting the role that women play in the budget processing
•  analyse the support that the government has given to agricultural activities such as Conservation farming and organic farming
•  show how the budget supports small scale farmers and how it could improve their livelihoods
• highlight the governments budget support methods that deal with climate change sensitisation  

The programmes will be aired in two districts, Chipata and Lundazi on Radio Maria and Radio Chikaya respectively.
