A chance to influence Government |

The Government is putting together what it calls a climate change ‘response strategy’.
The strategy is meant to ensure Government departments and programmes work in a coordinated, effective way to address climate change. For example, the strategy will provide guidance on how to conduct climate change mainstreaming in national decision making and governance. The strategy will help the Government decide if it needs to create a separate policy or legal framework on climate change.
You have a chance to help shape the strategy. At this stage, the people drafting the strategy want to know what the public think about climate change and managing climate change risks. They have prepared a few questions for you to answer. It will only take you a few minutes – but could make the difference as to whether important perspectives of small-farmers and rural community groups get incorporated into the strategy.
Please take a moment to fill in the short questionnaire. Hurry: responses are needed by the end of July.
