Budget Tracking
A budget is a key economic policy instrument that translates policy priorities into actual actions over period of time. It determines who benefits from publicly provided goods & services. For poor women and men to benefit, pro-poor sectors like agriculture, rural infrastructure must have a significant share in budget.
Project Goal
Increased responsiveness of national budgets to strategies for livelihood improvement among SSFs.
Purpose
Increased empowerment of male and female SSFs and CSOs to participate in budget processes and hold civic and national duty bearers accountable
Project objectives
1.Increased capacity of Civil Society & FOs to collectively engage in budget formulation and execution processes for the benefit of SSFs
2.Increased participation of CSOs, male and female SSFs in the budget formulation and implementation processes leading to inclusion of submissions in national and provincial budgets
3.Improved coordination among stakeholders for effective project implementation and sharing of lessons learned
