Welcome to PELUM Association |

PELUM Association is a regional network whose membership has grown from 160 to 200 civil society organisations in eastern, central and southern Africa over the last three years. PELUM work and activities are mainly focused on sustainable agriculture, food security, and sustainable community development in ten countries in the region. Member countries are, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The Association's long-term objectives are to build the capacity of farming and rural community groups in order to enable them to accumulate ecological skills, stimulate farmer learning and inspire experimentation and innovation in their quest to achieve food security. In order to attain these objectives, PELUM Association facilitates learning and networking, participatory research, capacity building and lobbying and advocacy for small-scale farmer groups and civil society organisations. |
